In detail
What each job covers
Boiler Repair
Identifying why a boiler won't ignite, heat water or produce hot water. Testing pressure, checking controls and pilot light. Replacing worn parts or seals. Safety checks before handover.
When you need it. Boiler won't fire up, making strange noises, losing pressure, or only heating water intermittently.
Before you get in touch. Note the boiler age and model. Check if the pilot light is lit. Note any error codes displayed.
Emergency Leaks
Locating the source of water escaping from joints, pipes or fixtures. Shutting off supply if needed. Repairing or replacing the damaged section. Drying and checking for secondary damage.
When you need it. Water pooling under sinks, dripping from ceilings, spraying from pipes, or visible damp patches forming.
Before you get in touch. Locate your stopcock. Turn off water if safe to do so. Mop up standing water if you can.
Drain Unblocking
Establishing where the blockage sits. Using rods, plungers or water jetting to clear debris, grease or roots. Checking flow is restored. Advising on prevention for next time.
When you need it. Water drains slowly, gurgles before emptying, backs up into other outlets, or won't drain at all.
Before you get in touch. Note which drains are affected. Check if outside gully covers are blocked or cracked. Avoid pouring more water.
Central Heating
Installing new boilers, radiators, pipework and controls. Commissioning the system with safety checks. Repairs to existing systems. Balancing radiators and bleeding air from circuits.
When you need it. Some radiators won't heat, system keeps losing pressure, rooms stay cold, or boiler shuts down without warning.
Before you get in touch. Know which radiators are cold. Check the boiler pressure gauge reading. Note if the thermostat is responding.
Bathroom Fitting
Removing old suite and fittings. Preparing walls and floors. Installing bath, shower, basin, toilet and taps. Tiling, grouting and sealing. Testing drainage and water supply.
When you need it. Planning a bathroom upgrade, refresh or complete overhaul. Fixing water damage or poor layout.
Before you get in touch. Measure the space. Gather product samples or images of what you want. Check you have access to water and waste.
General Plumbing
Installing and repairing pipes, joints, valves and fittings. Fixing leaking taps, replacing washers. Fitting new fixtures. Checking water pressure and flow. Locating and fixing small leaks.
When you need it. Taps drip constantly, pipes rattle, water pressure is weak, connections weep or fittings have corroded.
Before you get in touch. Turn off the water if you can identify the stopcock. Note which fittings or pipes are affected. Describe what you see or hear.

How your reviews will look
Your Google rating will show here, in place of the grey stars below.
Reviews are pulled from your Google Business Profile, so this section fills itself. Nothing to write, nothing to keep up to date.
The most recent reviews show first, so the page keeps pace with the work without anyone touching it.
Sample layout. The three cards above are not real reviews and no rating is claimed.
Reviews are pulled from your Google Business Profile the day this site becomes yours. If you are not collecting them yet, the quickest start is to ask your last five customers.
Good to know
Common questions
General guidance about plumbers in the UK, not specific to any one business.
What should I do if a pipe bursts at night?
Locate the stopcock and turn off the mains water supply immediately. Open all taps to drain remaining water. Mop up any standing water. Call for emergency help. Do not attempt to patch a burst—the pressure will defeat any temporary seal.
How often should a boiler be serviced?
An annual service is recommended, ideally before the heating season starts. This checks safety, cleans the burner, tests controls and catches small problems early. Regular servicing extends boiler life and reduces the risk of breakdown.
Why is my radiator only hot at the bottom?
Air is trapped inside the radiator. Open the bleed valve at the top (small square or screw) with a radiator key, holding a cloth underneath to catch water. Close it as soon as water runs out. If all radiators suffer this, the whole system may need bleeding.
Can I fix a leaking tap myself?
Minor drips from an older tap are often due to a worn washer, replaceable by turning off the water supply, unscrewing the tap handle and removing the old washer. If the tap still leaks after, internal corrosion may mean replacement is cheaper than repair.
What causes low water pressure in a house?
Common causes are a partly closed stopcock, mineral deposits clogging aerators, a fault in the mains supply, or debris in pipes following work. Check the stopcock position first. If pressure is low everywhere, contact the water company to check for mains issues.
Is it safe to leave a dripping tap unfixed?
A persistent drip wastes water and raises bills, but is not immediately dangerous. However, the constant movement wears the valve seat, making repair harder and costlier later. Wet patches around the fitting can also lead to mould or wood rot over time.
